How to Clean floor Mats
It would be beneficial if you cleaned your floor mats on a regular basis; otherwise, dirt will accumulate in the bath mat and damage the rug. To clean your bath mat, you must follow some steps.
First, make sure your bathroom is well ventilated because you will be using a chemical solution to clean the mat.
Make a solution of bleach and water and pour it into the bathtub. It would help if you made the solution homogeneous. Make sure your bathtub is big enough to soak the tub mat. Or you can do the cleaning in sections.
Make sure you only use cold or normal water during the cleaning. Don’t use hot water.
Soak the mat in the tub for 3-4 hours before removing it to scrub. Clean the mold and dirt with any scrub brush. After you're finished, soak it in clean water. You can also use water to completely remove any solution.
The mat is now air drying. You can dry the mat in the sun, but don't use an ant heater to do so.
If your floor mat is small enough, you can also wash it in your washing machine.
